Class of '26

Aidan returns for his second year of wrestling. His focus is simply to become a better wrestler and loves that the sport puts him in great shape.

Class of '27

This is Aliena's first year wrestling. She likes the sport because it helps with her mental health, and, through the sport, she also made some new friends. She also loves Batman.

Class of '25

Andre wants to qualify for NCS. He loves wrestling matches and when he isn't wreestling he enjoys listening to Rex Orange County. His favorite movie is Avengers: Endgame.

Class of '25

At age 16, Andrew's goal in the sport of wrestling is simple: to win. He loves defeating his opponents in a match. His favorite move is the half-nelson. He also enjoys the movie Scream and the musical artist Drake.

Class of '26

Class of '26

Angie loves everything about wrestling. She wants to learn more throws. She loves too many bands to name, but her favorite movie is Lala Land.

Class of '26

Ayaka placed 4th at NCS in 2023 and qualified for the state tournament, where she won a match. Her favorite wrestler, Robby Smith, also coaches her at CYC during the off-season. She loves meeting new people in the wrestling community and wants to place higher at NCS this season.

Brealene's favorite athlete is Nick Suriano. She wants to be the best she can be in the sport of wrestling and loves the determination the sport demands of its students. She enjoys the '80s classic Little Monsters.

Class of '24

Muhammad Ali is Brendan's favorite athlete. He loves the creativity and strategy involved in wrestling. He wants to win varsity matches in his upcoming senior-year season.

Class of '27

Bruno joined wrestling so he can learn the sport in order to wrestle his cousin. He was named after a soccer player but gravitated toward wrestling.

Charles favorite movie is Jurassic Park from 1978. He enjoys wrestling and wants to learn more about it.

With a background in Brazilian JiuJitsu, transitioning to the sport of wrestling felt like a good match for Chloe. Although the sport of wrestling can be an aggressive sport, she enjoys the sports because it's diverse and welcoming.

What "Daws" loves most about wrestling is how physical it is. He loves the head-and-arm. His favorite athlete is Stephen Curry and his favorite movie is the classic Home Alone.

Elysia will have her 16th birthday in December right as the wrestling competitions start this season. She loves the wrestler Emit Alor and wants to qualify at NCS for state this season.

Class of '26

Spencer Lee is Emy's favorite wrestler. She loves that there so many different styles and moves in the sport of wrestling, and of those moves, her favorite is the cross-wrist tilt. Her goal this season is win her first match.

Class of '25

Dedicated to the sport since 2022, Eric's favorite wrestler is Cael Sanderson. Like Sanderson, Eric wants to wrestle in D1 and the Olympics. He loves that everyone can have their own unique style in wrestling and find succes at all levels. 

Class of '26

Being a second-year wrestler, Gaven wants to learn more to improve his wrestling skills and ultimately win. He admires how diffficult and demanding the sport is every second you are wrestling, but how winning a match after it's all said and done is the best feeling in the world.

You can find Hudson on the golf course when he isn't wrestling. His friends convinced him to join the sport and he stays  because the sport is fun, challenging, and physical.

Jonah is working towards having a winning record at the end of his first season. He likes being able to take people down in wrestling. His favorite movie is Cars.

Justin returns this season as a sophomore and an NCS qualifier. JT loves all the cool moves in wrestling and his goal is to be consistantly good. He enjoys the movie Pixels and his favorite ahtlete is MLB player Mookie Betts.

Class of '25

When it comes to wrestling, Kuper wants to win as many matches as possible. He loves the adrenaline rush. He's also a fan of professional basketball player Jordan Poole and musical artist Kendrick Lamar.

Class of '26

Liezel aspires to win some varsity gold medals and qualify for the CIF state tournament. She loves all the people she gets to meet in the wrestling community and the adrenaline rush she gets while wrestling a match.

Class of '26

Max wants to win. He can't explain it, but he is drawn to the sport of wrestling and whatever it is about, he loves and wants to walk away from his matches victorious. His favorite movie is Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Class of '25

Marco set his eyes on placing at the NCS tournament and qualifying for the CIF state tournament. His favorite wrestler is Cary Kolat. His favorite move is the single-leg, and his favorite aspect of wrestling is the pursuit of developing to become a better wrestler.

Class of '26

Going into his second year of wrestling, Mario loves taking moves he has practiced in the wrestling room and trying to execute them during live wrestling. His ultimate goal is to compete at the CIF state tournament. Of all the moves he likes, the double-leg is his favorite.

Class of '25

Matthew wants to be the best he can be in the sport fo wrestling. He likes seeing the hardwork he puts into the sport payoff. He likes Frank Ocean and The Revenant.

Class of '26

This will be Stephen's second year wrestling for Concord. Stephen would like to win a gold medal in the sport. He plays football in the Fall.

Class of '27

Tatiana loves learning new moves, especially throws. Her favorite television show is called Total Drama Island. She likes the WWE star AJ Lee.

Zayyan will be entering his third season of wrestling this year. Aspects of wrestling he loves: the community, the skills you learn, and the single-leg series. He wants to qualify to compete at the NCS tournament this season.
